One warm headless browser (driven over CDP) runs the ladder per URL — og:image → rendered meta (clears JS & Cloudflare) → hero-image screenshot → branded title card / placeholder — rejecting generic logos, ads and bot-walls along the way, then re-serves each image same-origin with full metadata.
